Delete your Wisal account

Summary. You can delete your Wisal account and all associated personal data yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. Deletion is permanent after a 90-day grace period.

Delete your account inside the app

1. Open Wisal and go to Profile (the avatar at the top of the home screen).
2. Open Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is disabled immediately. All personal data linked to it (name, email, phone number, reading progress, groups membership, reflections and challenge history) is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized within 90 days.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, email admin@atharquran.org from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Wisal account”. We will verify your identity and confirm once the deletion is scheduled.

Changed your mind?

During the 90-day window you can cancel the deletion by simply signing back in to the app, or by emailing us. After the window closes the data cannot be recovered.

What we keep

Payment records required by tax and accounting law are kept for the legally required period. Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot identify you are not affected. Full details are in the Privacy Policy, Sections 10 and 12.
